Account Manager – TMS Packaging Poland.
TMS Global are a wholly owned subsidiary of DS Smith, an International Paper company who are a listed multi-national packaging and display manufacturing business who are a leading global provider of corrugated packaging solutions. TMS Global is an outsourced provider of end-to-end Retail Marketing/POS and Packaging services and solutions Globally. We partner with our customers managing all retail POS categories as well and innovative and sustainable Packaging Solutions and Supply chain management globally as their single outsourced partner.
We are active in 97 markets globally and we are made up of just over 300 people who are spread internationally across APAC, LATAM, EMEA and NA.
About the Role
As the Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and nurturing relationships across client sites, acting as the key liaison between the client and internal teams. This role is responsible for overseeing packaging-related projects while also engaging in broader discussions around quality, supply chain, and logistics.
With a strong foundation in project management and a technical mindset, the Account Manager follows the full development process of packaging solutions - from initial concept through to deployment. They lead initiatives such as a full end to end packaging process review, ensuring packaging is fit for purpose and aligned with client needs.
A core part of the role involves understanding the end-to-end supply chain and identifying opportunities for improvement. The Account Manager collaborates closely with specialist teams to implement enhancements that drive efficiency, sustainability, and value for the client. The Account Manager will be responsible for delivering results with their cluster team through a culture of collaboration and accountability and inspire the Cluster community through exemplary behaviour, strategic thinking and hands-on attitude.
This role is a regional role, where you will split your time between working from home and travelling to the client’s manufacturing sites, the majority of which are in Poland, but there will be some travel to Hungary and South-East Europe.
Some key responsibilities will be:
Portfolio management
Maintain an up-to-date dashboard monthly.
Use indicators of this dashboard to identify key opportunities or issues.
Define appropriate action plan in alignment with each client site.
Ensure monthly reporting to the line manager and Key Account Manager.
Monitor market and gather relevant client insight to proactively update action according to newest trends.
Customer Engagement
Develop relevant cross-functional network within each client site with the aim to instil mutual confidence.
Ensure regular presence on client sites and meet regularly with relevant stakeholders in person.
Opt for meetings onsite as much as possible in case of significant ad hoc request or issue to be perceived as expert and solution bringer.
In addition to meetings in person, keep regular pro-active contact with customer’s plant teams as well as with relevant strategic suppliers via various communication channels.
Maintain permanent alignment with sites stakeholders, including a joint monitoring of all strategic activities.
Ensure smooth and efficient qualification and implementation of proposed solutions.
Value Delivery
Understand and leverage the clients’ contractual principles and pillars of the strategic account plan.
Be responsible for delivering the overall targeted business results for the managed Client ‘s sites - Own profitability commitment and drive actions to improve profit level - undertaking joint responsibility for financial delivery.
Be the Packaging Supply Chain expert recognized by the client.
Identify potential opportunities through various lenses, gather and address comprehensive insight of every value-related opportunity.
Drive the Value Delivery projects pipeline end-to-end across all relevant TMS functions, selected strategic suppliers and client sites.
Coordinate consistent implementation of scalable solutions across client sites.
Actively contribute to the central strategy by proposing global saving projects in all potential savings avenues (negotiation, supply chain improvement, reengineering, blue sky ideas, etc…).
About You
We are seeking a dynamic Account Manager to work closely and develop the relationship across 6+ client sites, ensuring value delivery to the client through identifying and developing strategic projects with a great understanding of Total Cost of ownership and related levers to be triggered. You’ll be Analytical, autonomous and have a methodical approach, able to define and drive efficient action plans across multiple client sites with the ability to foster strong relationships across multiple geographies.

Knowledge of multi-material packaging (foam, timber, corrugated and solidboard, plastics, labels, etc…) is desirable but not essential for this role.
Professional English speaker with local languages for the region.
Ability to travel regularly to customer plants located in Europe
